Parents as Partners

Here at Poppins we pride ourselves on having successful parent partnerships and welcoming parents into nursery life. Our valued key person approach is at the heart of this. We believe that positive relationships with our parents are a vital aspect of successfully caring for and supporting young children. We have an open-door policy, welcoming parents to join us in all aspects of nursery life. We invite parents to join us in our play at pick up and drop off as well as at our ‘stay and play’ events, nursery parties and special occasions! Along with daily access to your child’s ‘Learning journey profile’ we also invite parents in regularly to discuss their child’s learning and development at nursery.

Keeping our parents informed and up to date on all developments within nursery is vital to us. We do this through our communication app which can be downloaded for free to your smart phone or tablet once your child is enrolled with us. The app allows you to communicate with your child’s carers whilst you are away from nursery via its messaging function. Along with nursery updates you will also receive a daily photograph of your child and a care update informing you of their basic care, along with their learning and interests that day. We also use our website, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts to share information, upcoming events and news with prospective and existing families. 

We pride ourselves on being approachable and always having time to listen and respond to parent’s comments and suggestions. At Poppins we believe that we provide outstanding care by forming a relationship with the whole family, not just the child.
